STANDARDIZED TEST HIGHLIGHTS
2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
  • CVCS switched to the Iowa achievement test in the 2022-23 school year. Here are some highlights from the 2023-24 achievement testing conducted in April 2024. 
    •    CVCS students scored between 1 and 2 years above grade level in composite scoring. The grade-equivalency scores in Reading, Language Arts and Math are even higher than the composite (all subject areas) score.
    •    In high school, 10th and 11th graders scored in the Post High School range in all subject areas (12th graders did not take achievement tests).
    •    All CVCS grades scored above the national average in composite scores, especially in Reading, Language Arts and Math.
    •    The most notable grade levels were 11th grade, in which students’ average scores were in the 77th percentile, and kindergarten, in which students’ average scores were in the 76th percentile.
    •    In the SAT, CVCS students scored 123 points above the national average in April 2024. They scored 108 points above the national average and 135 points above the Pennsylvania average in October 2024.
