- CVCS switched to the Iowa achievement test in the 2022-23 school year. Here are some highlights from the 2024-254 achievement testing conducted in April 2025.
• CVCS students scored between 1 and 2 years above grade level in composite scoring. The grade-equivalency scores in Reading, Language Arts and Math are higher than or equivalent to the composite (all subject areas) score.
• In high school, 11th graders scored in the Post High School range in all subject areas (12th graders did not take achievement tests). Tenth graders scored at a 12th-grade level in Reading, Math and Composite Score and a high 11th-grade level in English.
• All CVCS grades scored above the national average in composite scores, especially in Reading, Language Arts and Math.
• The most notable grade levels were 11th grade, in which students’ average scores were in the 75th percentile; 10th grade, in which students scored were in the 75th percentile; and kindergarten, in which students’ average scores were also in the 75th percentile.
• In the past three years of the SAT, CVCS students have scored more than 100 points above the national average and more than 130 points above the Pennsylvania average.
